*You have been warned*
I saw the movie the other afternoon. I think it was one of the best two hours and fifteen or so minutes of my life. I loved it.
However, despite how much I loved it, there were a few things I found disappointing.
I think that it was far too short and things happened too fast. It would be very confusing to viewers who hadn't already read the book.
A lot of Harry/Hermione scenes in the book were missing from the movie or they were changed to Ron/Hermione scenes. The scene in the book when Hermione is knocked unconcious by the Death Eater's curse and Harry is praying she isn't dead was not in the movie, which I found really disappointing.
And then there was Snape's memory. It lasted for about ten seconds and Lily Evans didn't even appear in it. It was basically a few clips of young Snape being taunted by James. I was very upset about this, because this was one of the parts that I had been most looking forward to.
On the other hand, there were lots of things I loved about the movie.
The whole fight scene at the Ministry was spectacular. Very exciting; it certainly kept me on the edge of my seat.
Luna Lovegood was fabulous. Her voice was so airy and she just seemed to be in her own little world; that's the way it should be.
Imelda Staunton (forgive me if I spelled that wrong) was amazing as Umbridge. She had the annoying laugh and false pleasantness down perfectly. I don't think there's ever been a character in a book or movie that I've hated more than Dolores Umbridge. Not even Voldemort. *gaspshockgasp*
All in all, Order of the Phoenix was wonderful and it is my favorite movie so far in the Harry Potter series.
